Itinerary one day trip getting to Cu Chi tunnel by boat

Overview

Cu Chi used to be a bitter battleground for many years during the Vietnam War. The tunnels in Cu Chi was a hidden place for Viet Cong soldiers thanks to the complex and intelligent tunnel system. Visitors to Cu Chi tunnel can learn more about Vietnam history through many war's traces which are preserved until now.

Before visiting this battleground, you will have a nice chance to view the sight of the developing city on the water way and Thuan Thien pagoda in Thu Dau Mot. The huge ships, which come from many different countries moving slowly. Do not miss this sight!

Itinerary

- 08:00: Our driver picks you up at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transfers to Bach Dang jetty.

- 09:00: Get on the boat and go upstream of Saigon River to Cu Chi. On the way stop at Lai Thieu pottery shops. You have chance for shopping with small pottery items as souvenirs with reasonable price.

- 10:00: The boat upstream passing Lai Thieu orchards and stops at Thu Dau Mot town. Tourists have a short sightseeing around the town and visit Lady Thuan Thien Pagoda.

- 10h30: The boat leaves Thu Dau Mot for Ben Duoc.

- 11h00: The boat reaches Ben Duoc, tourists have four hours to discover the mystery of Cu Chi Tunnels and have lunch at the floating restaurant.

- 14h00: The boat goes downstream to return Saigon.

- 16h00: Tourists are brought back to the Bach Dang Jetty. The trip ends.
