“Cai Be Princess” is one of few private Sampans on Mekong Delta. It is a great choice for travellers who prefer Sampans with traditional design style and ultimate privacy.
Let’s join us in this journey to explore lively floating markets with the riches of colorful fresh fruits and vegetables from Mekong’s gardens. This is also a great opportunity to take a glimpse into the agricultural, rural life of people at the delta region by visiting local workshops that produce various handmade souvenirs from rice and coconuts.

Itinerary 1 days

- Our car will pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and move to Cai Be pier.
- Upon embarkation, you are welcomed with fresh cotton towels.
- Visit Cai Be colorful floating market, cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables...
- Cruising further, your sampan will bring you to see some local home factories to discover traditional rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, and longans drying process.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at a superb Indochinese villa, Le Longanier, located in a luxuriant garden by the river…
- After lunch, proceed the cruise to Dong Hoa Hiep. On the way, you will be able observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. 

- Visit at an ancient mandarin house dating from the 19th century where the family will welcome you with a cup a tea.
- Afterthat proceed to Vinh Long, passing beautiful landscapes along Dong Phu canal, Binh Hoa Phuoc and An Binh islands famous for their fruit orchards.
- Stops on the way can be made at An Binh ancient Church or at Tam Ho bonsais garden.
- After crossing the Co Chien River, the excursion will end at Vinh Long pier around 4 pm. 
- Our driver will meet you there and transfer you back to Ho Chi Minh city. The trip ends.

Itinerary 2 days 1 night
Day 1: Saigon – Cai Be – Phu An – Dong Hoa Hiep – An Binh (L, D)
  • - At 7h30 in the morning, our car picks you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and transfer you to Cai Be.
  • - Upon embarkation on the river boat, you will be welcomed with fresh cotton towels.
  • - Visit Cai Be colorful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. Then proceed to Phu An hamlet, an untouched beautiful area reflecting some of the best sights the Mekong Delta can offer.
  • - On the way, stop at some local home factories to observe how rice paste, coconut candies and other regional specialties are made.
  • - Enjoy a delicious lunch at "Le Longanier", a superb Indochinese villa located by the river, in a lush tropical garden surrounded by fruit plantations.
  • - After lunch, cruise deeper to Dong Hoa Hiep and An Binh islands.
  • - Cruise along Dong Phu canal, stop at a fruit orchard and bonsais plantation near Binh Hoa Phuc islet. 
  • - In the late afternoon, disembark and check-in at a traditional charming house built on pillars by the river.
  • - The rest of the day at your leisure.
  • - Have dinner and stay overnight in the local house. 

Day 2: An Binh – Vinh Long – Sa Dec – Saigon (B, L)
  • - After breakfast, get back on your private sampan.
  • - Crossing the Co Chien River, one of the largest Mekong's arm,cruise under the spectacular My Thuan Bridge. Then stop at Dinh Tan Hoa, an ancient provincial house built some hundred fifty years ago…
  • - Proceed the cruise up-stream on the Tien Giang River, another large arm of the Mekong. On the way visit one of the biggest bricks and tiles factory.
  • - Get back on board, cruise to Sa Dec. 
  • - Reach Sa Dec around noon and have lunch on boat while cruising or at a local ancient house in Sa Dec (Nha Co).
  • - Visit the town, walk along its narrow streets and beautiful old houses dating from the last century, among some old Chinese temples, ancient Dinh, including the primary school of Marguerite Duras famous writer. (See Marguerite Duras novel turned into a famous movie, “The Lover”).
  • - The excursion will end at around 4pm. Our car will transfer back to Saigon City. The trip ends.
