It is easy to trek in Sapa and visit famous beauty spots, however the best way to discover the lifestyle of these hill tribes is through their traditional markets. Can Cau and Bac Ha markets are both very well known. The market provides a variety of local products such as corn wine, handicraft as well as an interesting animal market. 

Especially you will have an opportunity to enjoy a short walk to Ban Pho village of Nung and Flower Hmong and a boat ride up stream Chay River...

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai (night train)

• - Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi at 7.00 pm.
• - Transfer to Hanoi train station.
• - Experience the romantic overnight train travel.

Day 2: Can Cau Market on Saturday - Ban Pho village (B, L)

• - Arrive at Lao Cai station at 6.00am, do a little bit morning exercise.
• - Transfer to CanCau market (2 hours drive), enjoy seeing the life of people from different minorities.
• - Transfer to Bac Ha town.
• - Visit a village of the Flower H'mong on the way.
• - Check in hotel in the afternoon, free to explore the town and have dinner

Day 3: Bac Ha market on Sunday - Trung Do - Boat trip to Coc Ly (B, L)

• - Visit the old castle of the former H'mong King.
• - Visit and explore the huge market of Bac Ha, have lunch in a local restaurant.
• - Start a short walk to Trung Do village of the Tay minority, visit a traditional Tay house.
• - Have a cruise upstream the Chay River, then cruise down stream to the Bao Nhai bridge, enjoy the scenes on the river banks.
• - Get on the car for the journey back to Lao Cai station for the overnight train to Hanoi.
