About 35km from Bac Ha, Coc Ly Market is a colorful Tuesday market in a mountainous area where ethnic people gather to buy and sell goods, dine and drink, or just wander to enjoy the ambience of the montagnard market by the Chay River.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai (night train)

• - Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi at 7.00 pm.
• - Transfer to Hanoi train station.
• - Experience the romantic overnight train travel.

Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B, L)

• - Arrive at Lao Cai's train station at 6.00 am.
• - Take 1-hour car ride uphill to Sapa, have your breakfast and freshen up.
• - Walk down 6 km to Muong Hoa valley, visit Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong.
• - Trek down 3km to Lao Chai village of the H’mong, have lunch at a local house.
• - Visit Ta Van village of the Giay minority.
• - Get back to Sapa town by jeep or motorbike.

Day 3: Sapa – Coc Ly market (Tuesday) – Lao Cai station (B, L)

• - Leave Sapa at 6.30 am for Coc Ly market opening on every Tuesday.
• - Get down onto a boat along Chay river.
• - Get off the boat to visit a village of the Tay Minority (Trung Do village).
• - Visit a small town - Bao Nhai. 
• - Take jeep back to Lao Cai station for the night train to Hanoi.
